The atmosphere became oddly awkward.

The clapping gradually died down.

After all, nobody really knew where Luna and her mother lived when she was growing up. They were only aware of their marriage into the Goldwell family, which occurred not too long after Rose Lockton’s passing.

The current Mrs. Goldwell was Callum’s true love. They were similar as both had grown up in small towns.

Within their circle, this was tacitly understood, and it had never been brought up before.

They wondered whether Ruth had done the public reveal in front of so many people on purpose or not.
