When Mrs. Greenwell saw that Ruth was not a doormat, she sighed in relief and answered happily, “Alright. I’ll call DH’s headquarters later. Please bring the clothes out.”

Her last sentence was directed at the harsh woman.

Brand dealers were not idiots and would not destroy their own reputation for a bit of money, especially after receiving complaints from customers.

The woman’s expression changed. She could not believe that Ruth would take such a tough stance. “Mrs. Blakewell, don’t they say that we should never burn our bridges? You won’t get anything from making me lose my job! I have the best resources you can imagine. If you want them, they’re yours! I’ll reserve whatever you want for you whenever you want, including the limited-edition dresses! No one else can get their hands on them! Think about it!”

This was a trick she habitually used. Limited edition dresses could be used to both threaten and tempt her customers.
