When the clock struck seven, Zayne sighed out his frustration, and the noise attracted Milo's men, whom he had been in control of through the whole of last night because the Costellos had threatened to attack a part of Milo's fort.

And even with Milo pleading to their father, Derinem had stomped his foot against attacking the Costellos first.

Zayne felt guilt; he knew this was all his fault, and though his father didn't say anything about it, Zayne knew that was when he should be worried.

Especially when he heard that Derinem had just stepped foot in the airport when he got the phone call that the club he had just left was having a bullet spree, and even though Milo had been laughing over the phone about it, Derinem knew it was serious.

But it had become more than serious, for the Costellos had allies, groups that were willing to fight the Mafia down, forgetting that Aldo was being an asshole.

It was seven and he knew she was gone; the lodge would be empty now without her, silent wit
