Chapter 13

Davide was not in the mood for his pack or Kezia’s clinginess, so he went to his office to try to get some work done. The past week feels like years instead of a week for him. He finds himself wishing that he did not claim you so easily as his mind drifts off, wishing you will claim him back. “No, stop,” he says out loud, dragging his hands through his hair before rubbing his face. He sighs and rests back in his chair, looking up at the ceiling of his office as if the answer to his problems is written there. As his hands went up behind his head, his eye caught a strand of your hair that was clinging to the sleeve of his shirt. For a moment, he regrets how he handled you and allows others to treat you. ‘No, I can not feel any remorse. She will kill me the first chance she gets,’ he thinks and stands up. ‘Kezia is right. I should send her away,’ he thinks, considering Kezia’s advice.
