Chapter 29: Lost Daughter?

I saw Max get up and went to the nurse, desperate to know Sam’s condition.

“How is she?” he asked. 

I also did stand up and went and stood beside him. The nurse looked at the reports and sighed. “She is highly injured and her leg is fractured. Fortunately, there was no brain damage or it would have been irreversible. However she needs bed rest for almost two to three months and she need mental support because this may lead to a trauma if not handled carefully”

I nodded but Max was blank for a few moments. Then he nodded thoughtfully.

The nurse went past us to some other ward. I thought Max was in a daze, so I called him.

“Max?”

He looked at me and smiled lightly. “The thing is, she is fine”

I nodded and smiled back. “Yeah”
