While waiting for Edward, Vivian speculated about what he wanted to give her.

The best-case scenario would be a new phone equipped with his monitoring software. Then again, when it came to bad-case scenarios, Vivian could not come up with reasonable possibilities. Edward Levin was and would always be depraved, perverse, and the absolute exemplar of disgusting b*stards whose rock bottom was an unreachable abyss. Every single one of his atrocities always managed to surpass her worst imagination.

It took the man in question about ten minutes to arrive. As though he was displeased with her choosing such a public spot in the lounge, he tilted his head to one side and said casually, “Over there.”

He was referring to a bar close to the lobby with chairs cozier than the one Vivian had opted for. Despite his suggestion, she remained seated, only raising her head to his face as she declined calmly, “I’m wearing my volunteer uniform. I shouldn’t be there.”
