Chapter 99: Losing your mind

The silhouette grew larger, to the point of causing fear in the boy who takes Sofia as a shield and aims. But before he can protect himself, a shot is heard and he moves away from Sofia trying to run with the wound in his arm that has caused the gun to fall.

Sofia, who had recognized the man, runs towards him to feel protection. But Esteban does not focus on her, instead, he covers her with his body to end the life of the man he shoots a second time in the leg so that he cannot run away.

"You were really here." whispers Sofia excited to see him.

"I want you behind me. Don't open your eyes, even if you hear something and use my silhouette as a wall that you must use to protect yourself." orders Esteban and she heeds him without complaining for fear of receiving his wrath. One that was notorious.

"Dude, you don't need to do that" says the man who no longer runs away when he sees that Esteban won't stop pointing the gun at him.

"Of course I need to and I'm not your friend." says Esteban.
