After answering the phone, Jennifer asked, "Dad, it's late. Why did you call?"

"Are you resting? Is Maxwell with you?" Zion responded with a deep voice.

His question left Jennifer somewhat puzzled. "Why are you suddenly asking about Maxwell? He's working late at the office and hasn't come back yet."

Zion fell silent for a moment before solemnly saying, "I brought your grandmother to the hospital for a check-up today and ran into him. He didn't see me, but I noticed he was there with a woman."

Jennifer's heart sank immediately. She tightened her grip on the phone, and her thoughts drifted to Rachel.

Noticing her lingering silence, Zion continued, "I don't know if this woman is the one Bridget mentioned before. But from what I observed, she seemed to be quite close with Maxwell."
