The next morning, Jennifer uncharacteristically slept in.

Maxwell saw she was still asleep when he finished his morning routine and gently shook her. "Aren't you going to work today? It's almost 7:30 am."

"I'm not going." Jennifer rubbed her eyes sleepily and sat up. "I'd rather spend more time with Grandpa."
