I hate that name.

Roseline kept her distance as we were driven to the house, where we were going to stay for the next seven days. I was still confused about being chosen, and the seer's did nothing to ease my unrest.

The five of us were sitting in the limousine, Theresa and Jasmine were both sitting closer together whispering to each other, so I assumed they knew each other, and from the looks they were giving us, I knew this was going to be the longest seven days of my life.

The Smith girl, which I should remember  her name since I heard it just barely an hour ago, but it's still eluding me, was seated quietly at the corner looking at the pack trees as the limo moved slowly past them.

Even though Roseline was keeping her distance, she didn't sit far from me. She didn't say a word although she kept throwing worried glances at me. I know everyone heard what I said to the Seer, they probably had questions I wouldn't care to answer but I can still see them in their eyes.

Roseline opened her mouth then closed it again, and I almost laughed at her silliness. This girl didn't even know me and we haven't even had a decent conversation but I knew we were going to get along just fine, maybe become best of friends.

"I am fine!" I finally said as the sight of the big packhouse came to view. I knew we were almost there. They said the house was at the back of the pack house, separated but only a mile of grass, and few trees..

"Are you sure, you seemed kind of angry earlier?" She tried to read my expression but I knew she couldn't. I was my father's daughter, we didn't wear our emotions on our faces.

"I am sure, and I am Evelina by the way but my family calls me Eva" I gave her a polite smile trying to change the subject and she could see I didn't want to talk about it, so she let it go.

"I am Roseline but I prefer to be called Shantel since I hate that name, and I thought your name was Euphoria? I heard it being called when the warrior let me out of the room" she introduced surprising me. I thought everyone missed hearing that name.

"That's what my father called me, not many people know about it. It's not even in the pack database, and my birth certificate, I don't know how the Seer knew about it." I explained as the car finally reached our destination.

"I also heard her call you Mar…" before she could finish saying the name I clapped my hand on her mouth glaring at her. I was sure I was going to mess up her red painted lips but I acted without thinking.

"Don't you ever mention that name in public again!" I looked around to see if anyone was listening but the two gossips were busy fixing their makeup, while the Smith girl looked like she was going to cry any moment now. I felt sorry for the girl, I know how hard being here is, especially when you didn't want to be.

Shantel licked the inside of my palm, and I quickly removed my hand, wiping it on my dress, and forgot about the sad girl next to us. The horror of her licking my sweaty, dirty palm making me cringe.

"My lips are sealed" she giggled and I glared at her, but I couldn't hide the smile on my face.

"You're disgusting!" I chuckled but my eyes went back to the pouting girl. I couldn't just let her think she was all alone in this. The only people who were happy to be here were Theresa and Jasmine.

"Hey, are you okay? We are about to go out." I shook her slightly trying hard not to scare her.

"I don't want to be stuck here for seven days with them. I thought the torture was over last year when we left school and I will never be subjected to seeing them again but the goddess hates me so much." She whispered, still not peeling her eyes out the window.

It didn't take a genius to know who she was talking about, just by looking at them, and knowing their status you could see what kind of people they were. Not only were they spoiled but those two were bullies.

The thought wanted me to rip their throats off and feed it to the wild animals, but I held back my rage. I had dealt with people like them before, and if they thought they were going to be bullying the poor girl again at the house, they got another thing coming.

"The goddess doesn't hate you, and those two won't bother you again or they will have me to content with" I brushed her shoulder, trying to comfort her.

"Thank you, but I am not sure you can handle them. Their fathers are the higher-ups and they will make your life miserable, and I don't want anyone to suffer because of me." She pouted, looking at me, but I gave her a coy smile.

My life was miserable, there was nothing these posers would do that was going to make it any worse. I already knew worse in the last couple of months. Nothing could hurt me more than losing my father.

"Don't worry about me. I am Eva, by the way, and this is Roseline but I prefer to be called Shantel for some reason." I tried to lighten the mood.

"Roseline is a beautiful name, and I thought she would prefer being called Rose" she giggled, making Shantel groan.

"I hate being called Rose even more, and can we stop discussing gross names before I say a name I would regret," she threatened, and I pushed her shoulder playfully.

"Don't you dare" I chuckled, looking at the girl who heard me, and all the negative emotions were gone. I know we didn't want to be here, but I was going to make sure this was the best seven days for us. I hated seeing people miserable.

"Girls, you can't stay in there forever!" The driver called, peeking his head into the car with a big smile on his face. He wasn't angry that we wasted his time, and for that I was grateful.

"Sorry!" We all said at the same time, getting out of the car and coming face to face with a beautiful mansion on this island. I didn't even know a mansion like this existed until now, and I have been in the pack house several times.

"You have a pure heart, your parents must be proud ." The driver said and it took me a second for his words to sink in, since I was blinded by the beauty of this white mansion.

"I don't think so, but thank you, sir" I answered, not wanting to argue with his opinion. I knew people with pure hearts and I wasn't among them. I hated most things on a good day, and hated everything on my worst day. But before the driver could say more, the Smith girl interrupted.

"I am Lydia by the way, but my father calls me Lily. You can call me that if you want" she smiled, still looking at the mansion.

"Which one do you prefer?" Shantel asked, also not tearing her eyes away but not moving away from the side of the limo either.

"Lily, it's fine with me. " We both nodded even though we were not sure Lily was looking at us.

"Sorry to interrupt your moment again, but the young Alpha is waiting for you inside and my wife needs to show you to your rooms before she leaves for the night." The driver said and we all realised our mistakes and quickly moved to the house with our heels clicking on the pavement as we rushed.

The guard was already on the big black door with the head of the wolf sculpted on it, showing off our Alpha wolf. It was beautiful, only our alpha had a raven wolf and I hadn't seen one in real life but hoped one day to do so.

The colour matched my hair after all.

"This way girls, and Maggie here is going to show you to the dining hall where the young Alpha is waiting." The guard explained, pointing to the woman I now know as Maggie. She was an older woman in her forties, everything about her including clothes and hair well kept.

Maggie bowed respectfully, leading the way without saying a word. I knew she was ready to knock -off so I didn't find it rude. We were the ones who wasted her time after all.

"Should I show you to your rooms first or do you want to talk to the Alpha first?" She asked, hoping for the first option so she could leave right after leaving us in the dining room.

"Take us to the Alpha, and we will find our rooms, just give us direction's, I am sure you don't want your husband to wait more than he should" I gave her a knowing smile before she could refuse.

The mansion was big, but I was sure we were going to find our rooms even if it took us all night.

"Thank you!" She bowed again, making me actually feel shy. I didn't deserve such respect.

"This way please!" She led us to the dining room where we were welcomed by the sight of Theresa and Aiden kissing on the dining table, her legs already wrapped in his waist.

Maggie cleared her throat and finally Aiden tore himself from the horny blonde, and I am sure  he was horny as well, and didn't want to part ways with her.

I don't know about the two other girls, but even though I thought the scene was disrespectful, I would never say it to them. They deserve each other, but my luck would have it when he finally turned and our eyes met. I knew I was screwed.

Fuck this mating ritual!
