"I have killed a man!" That's all I heard when I got to my mate. I had never ran that fast in my life.

I was so distracted by the scent of blood that was mixed with her scent, I didn't realise the blood was not hers until I got there and found her walking aimlessly in the forest, a severed head on her hand, and she didn't seem lucid enough to see me.

"Babe, it's me. Please snap out of it. We need to go." I would have carried her, but she didn't want to let go of the bloody head. I wanted to know what happened to her, and whose bloody head she was holding, and wouldn't let go of.

"I killed him, I killed a man, '' she repeated, and I could see the trauma in her eyes. The trauma of killing someone, can get to you, and it didn't help that now all her senses were on overload because of the pup she was carrying.
