Mark was attentive to the unwelcome news that Charles was going to give him when he asked him, "What bad news?

What unwelcome news?" Charles let out a long snort to answer.

"They killed the judge who was supposed to try your father's case, he was found dead in the parking lot of the building where he lived alone, he was a widower the man."

"What's dead? But what the fuck is going on?"

"I'm sorry Marck, but this hurts your dad's case a lot, mostly because the judge they appointed to the case... I heard from some fellows who know him that... he hates your dad, because he was in love with your wife platonically speaking."

"What do you mean he hates my dad? And who is this judge?" Charles looked up the first and last name and answered.

"John Carpenter." Upon hearing that first and last name, Mark let out a string of expletives and expletives, causing Charles to put the cell phone away a little.
