It was the day after they had gone drinking in the bar. Michael rubbed his eyes as he got up on yhr bed.

He stiffened when he realized something was wrong.

“Elaine!” Michael called out her name when he found out that she was not beside him anymore.

The space beside him on the bed was as empty and as cold as ice. The warmth that he had experienced the night before was nowhere to be found.

He was half asleep and started to touch around the bed sheet to see if she had gone a little further but no matter how much he rummaged through the place there was not a sign of the girl that he was looking for.

His heart collapsed all of a sudden when he realized that Elaine was indeed not beside him anymore.
