Damien slowly made his way into the bar. There were a few people seated already but it wasn't too rowdy, and his eyes roaming through the room in search of Mason, he soon spotted him sitting in one of the barstools. She adored her friends recipes, and trying out new ones always put her in a good mood. Still shaking, he wiped his tear-stained face with his sleeve and hobbled into his car. Once he was inside, the cold and quiet interior only reminded him of his misery, and the gravity of the situation. Trying not to think about it too much, he started his car and drove away from the area.
