Chapter 7 (Vicky's POV)

Fast forward a few months…

I was 6 months pregnant already and honestly, I was pretty big for my first pregnancy.

Like I promised my nana, I got a job soon after I arrived at her place.

Now I was working as a bartender and I loved it.

One day hopefully I will have a place of my own. A little restaurant.

Days have been a bit easier lately. I think I will never forget Devin, but at least I didn't cry myself to sleep every night.

So it was all starting to look a lot better.

My boss was a nice lady in her forties and her name was Lucie.

She really was an angel and a good friend of my nana, so they agreed to let me work only until I reached my seventh month of pregnancy.

Basically, my time as a bartender was running out for now. So I tried to make the best use of my remaining days.
