CHAPTER 35: For as long as he is hurt

As the sun began to dip beneath the horizon, casting a warm glow across the room, Sarah returned with a bowl of freshly made porridge for Aldo. The soft aroma filled the air, creating a comforting ambiance. She offered the bowl to Aldo, her gaze tender as she spoke. "Here's some more porridge for you, Aldo. I thought you might be hungry again."

Aldo's lips curved into a grateful smile as he accepted the bowl. "Thank you, Sarah. Your care and cooking are making my recovery much more enjoyable."

With each spoonful, Aldo savored the nourishing meal, his strength gradually returning. As he finished eating, he looked up at Sarah, his eyes warm and appreciative. "You know, you can go back home now. Your passport is in my safe, and you're free to leave whenever you're ready."

Sarah's expression remained thoughtful as she regarded him. "I'm not thinking about leaving right now, Aldo."
