Eight months later.......

POV Lily's

"Negative, ma'am, you're not pregnant," Johanna informed me with a sad look. The bloodstain on the bedsheet indicated that my menstruation had arrived once again that month.

"I don't understand. Why do I feel so nauseous and dizzy? Sometimes, I have strong pains in my stomach," I replied, confused. Johanna helped me sit back on the bed.

"You're exhausted, ma'am. You've been trying so hard to get pregnant. Have a little tea; it will help calm you down. Try to rest," Julie said, covering me with a blanket.

I thanked her and sipped the tea she prepared for me every night. It had a slightly bitter taste, but I knew she was trying to help me. The healer had suggested natural and healthy remedies for me.

"Thank you, Julie. You can go now," Johanna dismissed her with a nod, and she left us alone.

"You didn't have to do this. Since Jennie left, Julie has been very kind to me," I said, taking another sip of tea.
