"Where do you want to be in 5 years, Holly?"The last panel interview for Talon Tech, run by Adam and Noah Talon, was going well and they gave me a softball question. This was one of those moments where everything seems to come together in life and just fall into place. I'd prepared for this question. The dream job was in my grasp. I smiled and sat up confidently at Mindy and Carter who had been two out of the three panelists I was supposed to interview for today."My goal in 5-years is to be the best..."The heavy door opened loudly interrupting me mid-sentence. Adam had been a tad upset I didn't include him in the surprise I had for the board meeting. He left me to the sharks thinking I would need his help and instead he ended up looking like a chump, or chum for those same sharks he fed me to. When he waltzed into my office with coffee in hand all had been forgiven. "Today is the day!" Adam was so excited it looked like he had forgotten to get dressed that morning. "Today is also dry cleaner and laundry day. So I'll be staying in your office if you don't mind." He took my one chair and pulled it over to put his feet up on it while he took out his laptop. Weird-o. "Uhh sure thing boss. Thanks for asking." He looked up from his computer confused. "I didn't."

I had all of my notes from last night typed out in an email for me to discuss with Adam. If he saw anything viable I could pass it along to the legal team before pushing it to the backend team.Walking into the office I kept my head down, looking at my phone making the last few tweaks to my email, I am stopped by two men blocking my enterance to the elevator."Good morning, Holly."
