My parents expect us to follow in their footsteps, they want us to be well known so their image doesn’t go to waste.  My older brother wants to be exactly like my mother, while my younger brother wants to be like my father. Now, I want to be like myself, I don’t want to be like my father or mother, I want to do my own thing. Chapter 2
I launched myself at Grant only to be thrown to the ground and laughed at “You think you can take me out, little sister?” Grant whispered into my ear as he grabbed my hair“I will fight you if it means you don’t kill my only friend!” I shouted at him and spit in his face. I used his reaction as my chance to attack him. I threw my fist into his face and watched as he fell to the ground in shock, that’s when I ran to Dime. “You bitch!” Grant yelled and I stood in shock as the others moved in to take me out but Drew stood in their way and said something to them; I watched as they all left with glares pointing my way. I looked back at Dime and picked up her unmoving body. I tried to carry her to the school nurse but she was too heavy for me to carry. I noticed

The boys had gone up to Brock’s room minutes ago leaving me on the floor bleeding and bruised, I tried getting up a couple of times only to fall back down again. I tried getting up again but I could feel my body rejecting the movement and I finally fell towards the ground again waiting for more pain to flash across my body, but something stopped me from hitting the hard ground. “Sapphire?” I heard a voice call to me“Sapphire, are you ok?” the voice asked again as I slowly opened my eyes to see Drew’s face filled with worry, worry? Why is his face filled with worry? “Drew, why are you here?” I asked him as I tried to get away from him but he pulled me back “I’m making sure you were ok” Dr

Chapter 4
My parents were too busy packing their things to realize I had come downstairs, I had to hold in my laughter because I knew that my dad would kill me if I gave away my position. The sirens were finally in hearing distance, I quickly moved out of sight from my parents and listened to my mother cry as dad yelled at her to grab the stuff and run to the car. The cops busted into the house and saw my parents trying to run, my parents didn’t make it far. As the cops took my parents out I talked with the woman on the phone and told her everything was alright. The cops walked me out so I could identify if they caught the right people, they did but they were missing some of the boys. My parents and brothers yelled at me to forgive them and say it wasn’t true but I ignored them as I told the cops that I would be at my best friend's house if they needed me. I took off towards Dime’s house with my truck thinking about what I would do now t

We were finally to our last hour, one of the only hours I don’t have with Dime, I walked into my class to see the only empty seat next to Drew, “Great” I whispered to myself as I walked over to the seat. Too scared to talk?” Drew said with a smirk on his face, “No not scared, just don’t feel like talking to someone like you” I snapped at him but then realized what I had just said “I’m sorry I mea

Chapter 10
I walked into the kitchen to grab some water while Dime stayed with the boys, “God, how stupid can boys be!” I asked myself as I filled my cup with water, “We can be pretty stupid, but not stupid enough to not catch a lie,” a voice came from behind me, and I turned to see Drew standing in the doorway watching me, “What lie?” I asked “When I delivered your pizza, you said you lived here with your parents, but I don’t see how you and Dime are related, and I don’t see any sign of anyone but the two of you living here,” Drew answered as he made his way over to me. “What makes you think I lied?” I asked Drew
