Eliza Just a few more months until I'm free from this town, but more importantly free from my Father. Nothing was going to get in the way of my great escape. Not even when Ryan, the high school heart-throb, takes an interest in me. But when Zak, shows up that first day of school, I know things are going to get complicated as I instantly feel the connection. Zak When I first saw her, I knew my fate was sealed with hers. There she sat, my fated mate. The only problem was she was human and I was a werewolf. The council would never allow her to become Luna. I had to stay away from her to protect her, but could I resist the mate pull?

Author you need to fix chapter 29 (it’s only half finished) and you need to remove chapter 28 from after chapter 10. You have it in there twice. Edit your book!

Chapter One
My feet move faster as I look at the time on my phone. I cringed thinking about all eyes on me walking in late to class. I quickly open the heavy door leading into the small school. Two more months of this place and I was free. Free from this school, free from this town, and most importantly, free from my Dad.I jogged down the hall as the last bell rang, managing to squeeze into class just before everyone had taken their seats. Relief washes over me now that I can blend into the back of the classroom where I was most comfortable. I hated attention. I just wanted to coast through these last few weeks undetected. At the end of summer, I was leaving no matter what. Of course I’d have to get a car first, but I’ve been working at the Diner for almost a month. I calculated that by the end of July, I would have enough money to have my car and my freedom.

Chapter Two
When lunch came around, I thought I’d finally gotten a hold of myself. My plan was to turn down Ryan and avoid him and Zak at all costs until the end of the school year. I’d thought everything through. The only problem was around them, my brain seemed to not cooperate. I went to grab my tray of food from the counter in the cafeteria, but large hands already had a hold of it. “I’ll take that.” Ryan held my tray just out of my reach. Ryan was also tall, but not as tall as Zak. I was only five-foot four, making it easy for him to hold the tray up high and out of my reach. He smiled down at me as he played his game, but I was not the least bit amused. I put my hands on my hips and raised an eyebrow. “You’re sitting with us.” He stated.I laugh. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Ryan sta

Chapter Three
ZakIt took everything in me to not follow her after school. I wanted to know where she lived, who she lived with, where she worked. I wanted to know everything about her to be able to better understand her. I parked my Explorer in front of the large building and walked inside the packhouse. My mother greeted me with a kiss on the cheek as she always did.“How was your first day of school?” She beamed, looking so excited to hear all about it. I didn’t understand why they insisted on me going, but they assured me it was for my own benefit and would help me when I took on the role as Alpha. I had hated the idea of school up until I saw her. Now I couldn’t wait to go back.“It was good. Not at all what I expected.” I said honestly, though I couldn’t tell my Mother about El. Not

Chapter four
I felt like I had only slept for five minutes before my alarm went off. I groaned, taping my phone to silence the noise. I almost fell back asleep when my door burst open. “Hey. I want breakfast.” Dad says with a toothbrush in his mouth. He wasn’t very old, but looked like it with his unruly hair and graying beard. I groan yet again, then lazily make my way into the kitchen. “What’ll be today?” I ask as he comes in, throwing on his work uniform. He was a mechanic at his friend Mike's auto shop. “Just make me some toast.” Please, I add in my mind. I quickly prepared the toast, seeing that I was already running late. Not to mention, I haven’t even showered. I slide his toast on the table without buttering it and quickly run to th

Chapter Five
Once home, I change my clothes to jean shorts and one of my nicer black shirts. I decided to attempt to straighten my hair but the beast can never be tamed all the way. It still had a bit of curl left in it but overall, I was satisfied with the way I looked. I grabbed my small purse that I rarely used and headed for the door. I hadn't noticed my Dad arrive home and jumped at the sound of his voice.  "Where the hell are you going?"  He lounged on the couch and I saw the half empty pint of whiskey next to him. This wasn't a fight I wanted tonight. "I got called into work." I hoped he was too drunk to notice my clothes. “In that? Yeah, right. Don’t lie to me. You’re probably going to get high or fuck some guy. You’re just like your mother.” His tone was harsh but he never raised his voice. My hand tightene

Chapter Six
I had arrived at school early that day, actually looking forward to seeing Ryan. I wore my hair down and straightened it again. I actually added just a touch of eye liner which was unusual for me. I didn’t want to seem desperate, but I also felt like I needed to be on Ryan’s level. There was no way I’d be wearing pink, but I could at least take some pride in my appearance.“I can see the date went well.” Zak smiles at me as he takes his seat next to me.I shrugged. “I may have had fun.”Zak chuckles, but it seems forced. Something seemed off about him. “Look at you. You’re practically glowing! Did he kiss you?”I turned to look at him, giving my most innocent look. “Maybe.”

Chapter Seven
The weekend came and went a little too fast for my liking. I lounged around most of the day Saturday and tried my best to avoid my Dad. Apart from him throwing his liquor bottle at me the other night, he had actually been pleasant. Well, as pleasant as he could be. On Sunday, I worked most of the day and was glad I got off earlier in the day so I could go to bed early and catch up on some sleep I desperately needed. I'd managed to push all thoughts of Zak from my mind by keeping myself busy or thinking of Ryan. I was still upset with Ryan over the events from Friday and I knew if I just stayed away from him, Kelsey would back off. Zak's words echoed through my mind. Is it worth it? Honestly, I didn't know Ryan well enough to answer that yet.By the time Monday came along, I decided it best to break things off with Ryan. I just needed to get

Chapter Eight
Over the next few days I grew worried. Zak didn’t show up on Tuesday and neither did Ryan. I figured with Ryan’s hand he might miss a day of school, but Zak didn’t seem too badly hurt. I was nervous he wouldn’t come back or that he was mad at me.On Wednesday, Ryan showed up, but didn’t say anything to me as he walked into class late. He glanced at me once before taking his seat and I couldn’t help but notice the cast around his hand. Exactly how hard did he hit Zak that he injured himself in the process? Now I was really worried because once again, Zak was nowhere to be found. I wondered if he was okay, or if Ryan did more damage than I originally thought. Zak was like a brick wall when Ryan hit him. He didn’t even seem fazed or act like it hurt.I made it through the day avoiding Ryan and then worked a shift at the Di

Chapter Nine
Friday was surprisingly uneventful, though I was thankful. Ryan told me he was taking me to dinner Saturday evening but it was a surprise where we were going. I really didn’t care for surprises, but it was Ryan. How bad could it be? When I sat with Ryan at lunch, Kelsey simply sat at another table, obviously not happy about seeing me with Ryan, but she kept her mouth shut for once. Zak didn’t comment once on Ryan and I, making good on his promise, until the very end of the day when we were waiting for the bell to ring. “Are you nervous about your date tomorrow?” He says with his eyes on the floor.“No, not really. Should I be?” He ignores my question. “You have my number if you need anything.”The bell chimes an

Chapter Ten
The next morning I left for work before my dad had gotten out of bed, making it easy to avoid him. I wasn’t sure how he would be after last night's events. I arrived at work and helped get ready for the afternoon rush. Being busy at work was a welcome distraction and helped keep my nerves at bay as I watched the time tick slowly by. As much as I wanted to see Zak, I just wasn’t sure it was a good idea. I kept telling myself to stay away from him but it was like there was some sort of invisible force pulling us together. As four o’clock approached I kept glancing at the door more often, hoping to see him walk in. When it passed four and he still wasn't here, I got worried. I continued to work while it was busy so I could still wait on him but it slowly died down and Lea insisted I leave. Twenty minutes had passed and I was convinced he wasn’t coming. Zak didn’t seem like
