Aiden's POV It's been 3 weeks since I've been back, and the nightmares are getting better, I'm having fewer of them. Thaddeus told me they got Eric, but they were unable to get Jackson. Jackson was able to escape, and that terrifies me! I know he's going to come for me again, and I want to be ready this time. Abigail and I have been training much harder, and our powers have grown significantly. Abigail thinks that the better we get at using them, and the more we use them, the stronger we will be. My aim has improved, and I hardly miss when I throw my fire at moving objects, they throw for practice. Abigail on the other hand never misses. She's perfected her abilities, and she's amazing at sparring. I've been training with Marcus 5 days a week. It was really difficult for me at first because I'd never trained before. But I'm a fast learner and I'm getting better each day. We recently started incorporating my telekinesis with sparring, and Marcus says I'm doing amazing. With the
Aiden's POV I'm so excited I can barely sit still as Thaddeus drives. I've never been to a human city or a restaurant! As we drive through the city, I realize it's not that much different than ours, except a little bigger. But Thaddeus said that's because our cities here in the UP are generally smaller. He told me one day, he'll take me down to the mitt, where the cities are much bigger. As we pull up to the restaurant, I'm already in awe. I watch Thaddeus pull his wheelchair out, before climbing into it. It's funny, but this is the only time I seem to realize he's in a wheelchair. Most of the time I don't even see it, I just see him. But seeing him actually pick his wheelchair up and put it back together then climb into it from the car, reminds me of what I've become used to seeing, or just don't see anymore. I know he was afraid his legs would bother me, but they don't, not in the least bit. I love everything about him, including his legs. I smile when he turns my way after shutti
Aiden's POV I must have fallen asleep on the way home because I woke up to the sensation of being lifted out of the car and placed into Thaddeus's lap. I wrapped my arms around his neck and snuggled into him. I felt Thaddeus kiss my forehead and wrap his arms around me. I'm sure at one point I heard the word, adorable. But I was too comfortable, and too cozy in my Alpha's arms, to pay much attention to anything besides his wonderful scent, and his strong arms that made me feel light as a feather, and completely safe. I woke up again when I felt Thaddeus lifting me out of his lap and laying me in bed. I tried to roll over and go right back to sleep. But he laughed as he pulled me back, then pulled my shoes off. I felt Thaddeus pulling my pants off, but I was still too tired to open my eyes, and bother helping, or be embarrassed that I was just stripped of my clothes. I felt the bed dip as he climbed in, before pulling me into his chest. I snuggled my face into his neck and felt Th
Thaddeus POV His mark was barely recognizable. Jackson did a good job of trying to claw it out. All that was left was a jagged scar from the stitches, causing our marked bond to weaken, almost as if we never marked each other. Everything was normal as I sat there with my back against the headboard, watching my beautiful mate ride me. Both of our orgasms were quickly approaching and I leaned forward, sinking my canines into his scarred mark, and remarking him. As soon as I felt the bond snap into place again, his feelings washed over me as we both rode out our high together. But then I felt the wind shift around us as I still had my canines sunk into his mark. I retracted my canines and quickly licked the wound to seal it, and looked up to see what was going on. The wind was swirling around us, blowing through my hair. I caught Aiden, as his body slumped against me. "Aiden!" I called out, then gritted my teeth when I felt a sudden surge of energy flow through my body. I threw m
Aiden POV I licked my lips as we were walking to the dining room for breakfast. My stomach rumbled, and I couldn't wait to eat. Unfortunately, as soon as we entered the dining room, my stomach turned. I tried to ignore it as we walked to the table and sat down. But as soon as I sat down, and the food was in front of my face, the smell of the food was so intense I immediately jumped up. My hands slapped over my mouth as I bolted for the bathroom. I barely made it there in time. As soon as my face was over the toilet I emptied what little was in my stomach, and continued until I was dry heaving. I heard Thaddeus knocking at the door, and his frantic voice telling me to open the door. "I'll be right out, just a moment," I said, then flushed the toilet. I quickly washed my hands and rinsed my mouth. Thank goodness there was mouthwash under the sink. I splashed a little cold water on my face, then looked in the mirror and saw how pale I looked. As soon as I opened the door, Thaddeus
Aiden's POV Entering our room after that stressful event, I still feel somewhat in a daze, as I look down at myself and see I'm covered in blood. I look at Thaddeus and he looks worse than me. He's covered in blood, and bits and pieces of only Goddess knows what. I walk toward Thaddeus and kneel, so I can look him over and make sure he's okay. With just a pair of basketball shorts on, I'm able to see most of his body. I rub my hands over his torso, wiping the blood and junk away so I can see his skin. I can see most of the wounds are healed, or healing. I continue to run my hands along his body, pushing blood away to make sure he's okay. It's kind of hard to tell what's his, and what's not. I was so focused, I didn't see his hands reaching for mine until they wrapped around my hands and stopped me. "Hey, I'm okay." I look at Thaddeus and let out a breath, then smile at him, giving his hand a squeeze as I stand. "Let's take a shower," I said, and Thaddeus cocks an eyebrow at me.
Thaddeus POV Flashback They are everywhere! There's so many rogues, and they keep coming, crossing over the river, and into our territory. Alpha Michael's not left out of this fight since his territory is about a hundred feet to the right, on the other side of the river. They didn't go deep into his territory. They stayed near the edge for the most part, except for a few stragglers. So they are fighting the rogues off as well. There's hundreds of them, and they just keep coming. I'm currently surrounded by rogues. I can't tell how many, there are at least 10. This normally would have been a problem, but since remarking Aiden, Zeus is a beast now! I mean we're good, but not that good. He's taller, broader, and more muscular. The way he moves while fighting, he's stronger and faster and just plows through the groups of rogues. He moves with precise movements, and precision strikes. Every hit, or bite, he lands, and it's deadly. It seems like they're all flocking to me, which I
Aiden's POV I'm pretty sure I'm wearing the floor out! I'm currently pacing between the dining room and the living room in our apartment. Thaddeus is in the shower getting ready for dinner and the bonfire, and I am a nervous wreck. Hence the fact I haven't been able to sit still. I've been nervously pacing back and forth, knowing I need to talk to Thaddeus, but dreading it. I'm a nervous wreck. My stomach is in knots, and just the thought of telling Thaddeus makes me want to vomit. I'm terrified of how he's going to react. I'm pretty sure he's going to be angry, and that thought alone is terrifying, and makes my stomach churn even more. I've known for 3 days that I need to tell him, but I'm just not ready to tell him yet. But Mitchell said that if I don't tell Thaddeus, he's going to do it. I don't know why he's forcing me to tell him. I mean I get it, but, why can't he just give me a little bit more time? Doesn't he know I'm not ready yet? I know it's my fault, and I shouldn't
