Chapter 49 Nightmares

Aiden's POV

I woke up feeling warm and comfortable. I nuzzled into my pillow when suddenly I felt someone run their hand through my hair. My stomach dropped and I squeezed my eyes closed tight and whimpered. Oh, Goddess, he's back! Is he going to hurt me again? I feel the tears instantly fill my eyes and my chest tightens. I feel like I can't breathe as my chest rapidly rises and falls.

I hear a voice, but I can't make it out. It sounds too far away and muffled. I feel arms wrap around me, and a hand grabs my head and turns it, placing my cheek firmly against his bare chest.

Before I realized it, I feel and hear a strong vibration, as a hand runs through my hair.

Almost instantly I'm able to breathe and slowly calm down. After a few moments of the soothing vibration, I feel completely relaxed and safe.

The hand that was in my hair reaches down and lifts my head up and I come face to face with the most beautiful eyes.
