CHAPTER THIRTEEN

When the elevator stopped in the second floor, I released the breath I was holding. It was 6:20pm, I had taken too long outside.

I only hoped Armin wasn't home yet else how could I explain it?

I headed towards the apartment door and entered the password. The door opened and I was met with a manly figure clad in flour, looking at me expectantly.

“Well well well,” Armin said, an amused expression on his face. “Look who's here. And why are you dressed as though you're some sort of badass assassin breaking into my house.”

“And why do you look like a hottie that I can't get enough of?” I tried to change the topic with a seductive smile but Armin folded his hands, “Don't change the topic, what were you out doing? I was so bored! I came to the house by 5pm sharp only to find out that you were gone.”

I sighed. What do I say?

“The truth.” Armin said, reading my mind.

I sighed softly, “I went to our temporary residence.”
