Helena's POV …Her heart beat loudly at the thought of what was about to come as they made their way to the hall. Not only was she about to betray her friend but she was going to publicly humiliate her as well. It would have been better if she had told her in private and saved her from attending the event. Helena laid face up on a hard, bumpy, uneven mattress, her head resting on a carelessly folded suede jacket, holding a tattered piece of paper directly above her line of vision. The bold neat strokes were barely visible mostly because of the dim light provided by her battery drained camping light.
