Alpha Ryder's Pov

I made a fool of myself at Alpha Lugard's house and I was furious that I experienced such a horrible scene. He had listened to my request when I growled for all the women in his household to be brought out to my front. But none of them looked like her, had a scent like her. Even the rest of the Alphas almost concluded that I was mentally down and I needed rest.

How did that happen? Was she present at the pack meeting, why couldn't I find her, why did I smell her, was it all in my head?

I tried to erase every thought in my head to focus on the conference table where I sat at the head, surrounded by different pack colleagues. We were discussing the state of the business, I owned a successful company that specialized in hunting and tracking gear for other predators.
