Chapter Thirty

Melissa's Pov

After a terrible round of sex with the head guard, he let me sleep and rest in his room as he went to his duty. Yesterday I wasn't able to hang around because he didn't want Emily to see me and ask where I was from and so I stayed an extra night.

After I had taken a shower and gotten an hour's rest. I stood up in the middle of the night and walked toward the room I saw Alpha Ryder in earlier.

Luckily for me, he was alone. I was careful to confirm his privacy before I stepped in. But I could hear the sound of showers in the bathroom and I assumed Emily was in there. I walked towards him and tapped his skin trying to wake him up. I whispered his name, but he wouldn't hear. I tapped harder looking around so I wouldn't be caught.

He turned in his sleep and his eyes flashed a bit. "Yes, yes, wake up" whispered.

The shower suddenly went off and I ran out of the room very carefully, leaving the door opened a bit.
