3. Divorce

LILIANA SPENCER…..

I let Killian take me out of the venue to the car. All the way tears kept streaming down my eyes. “Lily, don't take his word to your heart. You know he's hot-tempered. And will always spout nonsense in anger. He didn't mean that.”

Killian tried to console me. But there was no word that would make me feel good.

“Killian. I know Zade more than anyone else. And remember one thing people always don't spout nonsense in anger. Sometimes people speak the truth in anger, what they can't say normally and keep inside their hearts. So, never take the words said in anger lightly.”

Killian didn't say anything after that and guided me to the car and held the door open for me. I got into the car and settled in the backseat.

I watched him walk over to the trunk and he came back in a minute holding a first aid box in his hand.

“You burned your hands in order to save Gianna. Still not asking for ointment. Are you a fool!” Killian scolded me rightfully, taking my hand in his applying ointment on the burnt skin.

“This pain is nothing compared to the pain I'm feeling in my heart, Killian.” My chin touched the upper chest as I hung my head low trying to hide my tears.

Killian sighed heavily. “Honestly I never thought Zade would still run after her even after having you in his life. Don't worry, he will not leave you. You will always be yours.” Killian tried to cheer me up. I pulled my hand out of his when he was done.

“He was never mine, Killian. Even though Gianna was away from his life, his heart was always with her. As if she took his heart away with her. Have you seen him this happy in these years? No, right? How would he be happy when his heart was not with him?” My voice was on the verge of crying.

“Don’t feel sad, Lily. No one can take your place, no matter what. You’re our Luna. You will always be. Have faith in the Moon Goddess. She will make everything right.” He patted on my head and closed the door then settled himself on the passenger seat. Then we drove off to Meadows House.

We don't live in the pack house, as he left the pack house after our marriage. As he didn't want to accept me as his mate but his father forced him to accept me and make Luna.

I don't know what Zade wants but I'm sure Gianna is not up to any good. She had clearly told me that she would snatch my Zade from me. Now what should I do?

Life is so surprising, I was advising Luna Athena to leave her mate if he started developing feelings for someone else. But now I understand how hard it is to leave our Mate.

Advising someone indeed is easy but when it comes to your turn only then you will understand how hard it is to do that.

“Gamma, Jace. Don't you dare lie to me? Gianna is inside with Zade, right?” I asked him furiously as he was stopping me from going into Zade’s cabin.

“No, Luna. Please trust me. He's in a meeting with a client. That's why I'm stopping you from going there.”Gamma Jace defended himself.

“Gamma Jace is telling the truth only, Lily.” A sweet voice came from behind. I didn't have to turn to confirm whose voice it belonged to.

Gianna stood before me holding a sweet smile on her face. “Gamma, Jace. Please excuse us.” She said to him in an overly sweet tone. And he left from there.

Then Gianna glanced at me from head to toe. “I really don't see anything special in you then from where you get so much guts to show attitude always. You know you are not meant to be with Zade. You are just a big mistake, nothing at all. You don't have a family, you are not from a good background, and in looks, you are nothing compared to me.”

Gianna flipped her hair back showing attitude. While she was getting on my nerves.

“Pch! There is no need to compare you with me. Because my servants are more beautiful than you. You are not even worthy of being a servant in my house. Let alone become the Luna of Silver Lake pack.” My hands turned into a ball as I tried my best to keep my calm posture.

“What made you think that you could take my place? Do you know the word status? This word is not made only for a girl like you. I advise you something, don't aim for the moon, you are not worthy of it. Zade is only mine.”

That’s it! I lost my temper and slapped her hard right across her face and she fell onto the floor. And to my bad luck in the meantime, Zade came out of his cabin and found his ex on the floor.

“Gianna!” Zade immediately rushed to her and helped her to get up on her feet. Then he cast me a dangerous glare.

“What's your problem, Lily? Why are you bullying her like this?” Zade screamed at me in extreme anger.

“She was talking nonsense about me,” I yelled back.

“Enough! I don't want to hear anything from you. Are you really the Liliana I know? But I don't think so. When did you change so much? It's my office. I don't want any chaos here. We will talk at home. So, Please go back home. I know you won't disobey me.” I felt my eyes burning as my vision got blurred. I didn't realize I was crying until I heard Beta Killian saying not to cry.

“Please, Luna. Let me take you home. I'm begging you.” I put on my shades to hide my tears and walked off from there.

“Why can't he see her true face, Killian? She behaved like a saint in front of him and never left a chance to insult me.” I broke down and cried when we settled on the car.

“She’s always like this. She's a poisonous snake. It's better to stay away from her. I know her. But Zade never listened to any words against her. I have tried many times to make him realize that she's not a good girl. But he never listens to me. He blindly loves her and trusts her.” I heard my heart shatter inside my rib cage. Because he even trusted her over his own mate.

I came to meet him to sort things out between us. As he didn't come back home last night. I thought I would apologize to him so that he wouldn't be mad at me anymore. I can't bear his ignorance. It killed me. But everything went wrong and the situation became worse between us. I don't know how to solve all of this. And how am I going to make him believe that I wasn't at fault at all?

I have been eagerly waiting for Zade in the living hall. The clock hands were reading nine-thirty-five pm. I had prepared all of Zade’s favorite dishes. The food turned cold but he didn't arrive yet. I felt my eyelids become heavy and slowly closing but I jolted awake hearing the sound of a car scratching coming from outside implying that Zade was back.

I ran to the door and saw him approaching me with all his glory. My eyes twinkled and my heart squealed in delight seeing him. But to my dismay not for a single moment his eyes met mine. He just walked ahead toward the sofa ignoring my presence. I braced myself together and handed him a glass of water like always.

He gulped the water and placed the empty glass on the table before him. “You must be tired, go get freshen up, while I reheat the food.” Saying that quickly I turned to leave for the kitchen but my next move halted in mid-air when I heard his voice.

“Stop Lilliana. We need to talk.” My heart almost stopped sensing the tension in the air. I turned to him holding my breath and found him in a serious mood.

“Please, sit here.” Zade motioned me to take the seat across from him so I sat there like an obedient wife.

I heard him sigh then he looked up to meet my eyes. “Let's Divorce.” His words gave a whack on my heart with a thorny lash. There were no emotions in his eyes when he said those painful words to me.
