I’m going crazy here. Ever since this little firecracker walked into training, I knew I needed to get to know her. That. Just. Happened. Tate is tracing soft circles on my back as we both calm our racing hearts. *A series of flashbacks* 11 years ago - Isla Age 8 Kicking off my shoes, I crawl to the middle of my bed, pulling the fluffy purple comforter around me as the tears trickle down my cheek. Swaddled in the cloaking darkness, I wonder if the darkness is finally my death. It has been many years since the calming warmth of nothing surrounded me. “URGHHHH, my head,” I say through gritted teeth. Suddenly large corded arms are wrapped around me causing tiny electric sparks to dance across my skin. Alpha Zac is leading me to the sofa in his office. He sits me down, his large hands cupping my shoulders. Stepping out of the shower I grab a towel and head to my closest. Sliding on a pair of grey sweatpants. Shit, she was in hospital scrubs when I brought her up here.
