“Mate? As in soulmate?”

I froze, my muscles locked in a momentary paralysis, this surprise rendered me immobile. Zayden was gone, but his strong scent of sandalwood was sending my brain into overdrive.

Nova’s sudden response to his curse breaking opened a trap door in my belly, turning my life into hell. My eyes darted around the hall, searching for confirmation, Ciara came forward and asked worriedly.
