“How? How did all of this happen? I thought she had a boyfriend?” Julian repeated several questions at once. I could sense the anger and confusion in his voice.

“I know, right?” I exclaimed, sharing the same feeling. “She told me at first that he was just a friend, and while I didn’t believe her, I gave her the benefit of doubt, because I thought she wouldn’t attempt anything in front of me,” I began explaining. “So I agreed to follow her and we went to the guy’s house. He’s rich, from what I saw and he’s really creepy. He kept on asking me strange questions. To be honest, I didn’t feel comfortable around him.”

Julian growled lowly on the phone, but let me finish what I was saying.
