Lucas's POV

"Officer you mean you can't find my daughter?"

"I'm sorry Mr Lucas. Her car was no doubt found by the side of the road in Prospect park. We were able to trace her to the creek where we found her wedding invitations in the water. A trail of footprints led us to a tree in the woods. From there, nothing". My eyes widened when I heard the word woods.

"Did you just say woods? And what do you mean by 'from there nothing'?" I mimicked the cop.

"Sir there's nothing, no footprints to even show she returned back to the creek. It's like she vanished into thin air".

"Oh God!" I breathed.

"I'm sorry sir. We've done the best we can but no positive result. If we do get any clues, we'll keep you updated. Do same for us and have a good day".

"Have a good day". I spoke with great difficulty.

I was pained. Did I push Vanessa too far? I only asked her to marry Spencer cause I wanted her to be protected. I had been having terrible nightmares of dragons and vampire
