CHAPTER 8: MASON

Cynthia stood at the door waiting for him, she saw him pick up his phone and his suitcase heading out.

"Good morning," she flashed her brightest smile at him.

He sighed, looking at his wristwatch. "There's nothing good about the morning. If you will excuse me, I don't want to be late for my flight."

She blocked his pathway. "Just a few minutes, please."

"1 minute, that's all you have. Summarize everything you want to say."

"I don't know what I did to deserve this treatment from you but at least give me a chance to prove to you that I'm not what you think. I can be a loving wife and trust me, you would not regret it," she proceeded to touch him and he evaded her touch smartly.

"Time's up, if you will excuse me woman," he banged the door in her face.

"Damn," she cursed. "Why is he proving so hard to please? He is really going to make my work hard. I have to make sure I get pregnant for him but how, when he doesn't even let me touch him or at least eat my food."
