77. Richard's Explanation

Richard's POV

"Cheating? Wait a minute!" exclaimed Mr. Mayer in shock. He seemed to be struggling to digest what I had just said.

I wasn't kind enough to pause, going straight for the next punchline.

"Not only with Jeremy. But also with many other men, gigolos, and countless other men, her one-night stand partners, sir," I added. I looked at Krystal with a triumphant look.

Unlike me, Krystal looked back at me. But with a vengeful look. If I were still the old me, I would have immediately lost my mind to find a way to keep Krystal from getting angry with me anymore.

But it was different now. The love was gone, vanished into thin air. All that's left is an endless disappointment that I don't know how to heal.

"Do you know what you're saying that could get me charged? This is a serious charge, Richard Moonstone!" scolded Mr. Mayer in a low but warning tone.

I took a long breath and adjusted my sitting position to make it more comfortable.

"I know the consequences of my actions, M
