“Kat is sick.” His mother called the next morning. Her tone was sad, making Adrian wince tight.

“What's wrong with her, mom?”

His mother sighed. “Since you left, she's been suffering, she won't eat. She just cried, her body condition deteriorated. Last night she was taken to the hospital.”

“Is it serious?”
