Mervin paced up and down the waiting area. He was so anxious. His eyes could not leave the closed door before him.

'How are things going on in there?', he thought to himself each passing second.

He took a glance at his wristwatch then he sighed. It had already been more than two hours since Crystal was wheeled into the theater room, yet there had been no news of how things were going inside there.

Mervin could feel his energy draining out. His wife was in there, fighting for her life and for that of their child. He just felt as if he was carrying the sins of the world.

Today has been the most exhausting day ever. He could hardly believe all that had happened in the period of a few hours since he landed in the country.
