Hey, hope your day's going great.
There was no way for Rain to tell what time it was but she knew that the time the door was finally opened next was very early in the morning. She half expected it to be Aldo and another part of her that she wished was wrong expected it to be Alexander. It was neither of them.It was a woman she had never seen before, she was petite, had a head full of grey hair, she looked to be in her late fifties or maybe early sixties but she looked energetic and she had a natural scowl on her lips like she was angry at Rain, or maybe the world?. She was dressed in a flower patterned dress but Rain could bet her ass that there was nothing flowery about the woman, judging from her expression. She walked into the cabin, dragging two bags behind her. One was hers, the one she had left and didn’t bother to unpack and the second was one she couldn’t recognize but it was bigger than her own luggage. Rain stood up as quickly as she could, already on high alert as she knew the woman was approaching h
Rain smiled hearing the woman’s words.“I agree,” She said, Elisa gave her a strange look from the mirror before she put down the towel. Elisa then opened the other luggage she had brought and pulled out a hair dryer and a few other things she knew she’d need right after having a shower. She had been washing her hair with the rose scented soap that she’d found in the bathroom because there was no shampoo and she had no other choice. They weren’t her own skin or hair products but Rain was thankful for them as she saw them being placed down one by one on the foldable vanity table in front of her. She had decided while she was packing that she would go to a store first thing and buy all of her products about she wasn’t even given the chance to do that either.“This stays down,” Elisa pointed at the table. Of course, she bit her tongue and kept her mouth shut, she was so close to saying ‘yes ma’am’ again.Rain sat there for almost forty minutes if not more in complete silence a
She didn’t look scared after he’d finally spoke to her, no, he she looked surprised but soon the expression was off her face and replaced with the look he now knew was her natural mask. She liked to look like it was just another normal day for her or rather she wanted it to seem like she didn’t care that she was trapped in this mansion and that he practically owned her now. She smiled at him, again. That fucking smile! Luigi walked up to her with a silly grin on his face, he wished he could’ve said he missed Romeo but the both of them were practically the same thing, smiling only when they saw pretty women, a weakness that he swore to never have or rather, a weakness that was beaten out of him. Women, men, they were all the same to him, all that should matter is to keep the family business thriving and the Guerriero legacy alive and still at the top. She, and her stupid brother Nicholas were trying to ruin that, but they would not! He would use her to make an example to his men
Rain couldn’t mask her awe when she’d walked into the restaurant. It was beautiful… that was the only word she could think of at that moment. The place wasn’t designed to look luxurious or fancy, the interior was designed to look like something straight out of the Victorian era . It was bright, there were the brightest bulbs kept in lamps, they brightened up the whole place and made it feel like a different world entirely. “It’s beautiful,” she couldn’t help but say. She didn’t pay attention to Alexander, he was silent but her arms in his were a constant reminder to keep walking. His scent assailed her nostrils momentarily distracting her from the beauty of the place she was in. He smelled of roses...It was a scent that was all over the cabin, a fleeting thought crossed her mind and her heart fluttered at the thought. Was it his home? Of course not. Why would he live in the cabin when he owned the entire mansion that she was sure had more room than she could count? Alexander to
“I saw the woman running out of the restaurant Don, should I call the men to get her?” Alexander was still staring at Pietro with a wide smile on his face, he enjoyed just how drenched in sweat the man was but not the stench that came with it though. Pietro’s uninjured hand shook, he held the pen in his hand but still hesitated. Despite the fact that his cheeks were wet with tears and his eyes were wide with fear. Alexander had to commend the bastard. He had heart…maybe a false courage but that wouldn’t be a problem, he would break him down, piece by piece…he had all the time in the world. “You don’t want to?” He told rather than ask Pietro. Pietro coughed and groaned in pain, then he shook his head…cute. “Leave her to enjoy the streets a Al little…it’s always better to see their eyes when their hopes have been crushed no?” He’d finally given an answer to Enzo, the man nodded and took a few steps back, his hands behind his back as he patiently waited for his boss to be done. “Now
Another fucking threat. Rain thought as she towel dried her hair and tried hard to ignore the fact that she had the said towel in a death grip. She was back in the cabin. After Alexander had threatened her, he hadn’t said another word to her and she was left there staring at his bloodstained face and suit which he seemed to enjoy and didn’t bother to clean. Once they arrived at the mansion, he told the man who had been following him around from the restaurant to take her to the cabin. Not even a word to her, not even a fucking apology for attempting to give her over to a man she didn’t know as payment! Much less a disgusting bastard like Pietro! Rain was angry, it took all of her will power not to march to that mansion and give him a piece of her mind. He should’ve been thankful she didn’t report him to the cops, instead he threatened her?! “That son of a bitch!” she growled. “That I agree with you on,” Elisa replied, startling Rain who didn’t even hear the woman come in. “You
Rain stared dumbly at the patch of grass that peaked through the open door. She stared…and then took two steps forward. What was she supposed to do? She wasn’t sure she would get this opportunity again. To walk out that door, to leave, to find her way out of here. Rain inhaled deeply and she opened the door completely, she walked out of the cabin. Fresh fucking air! Rain breathed in the scent of the roses deeply, she was outside, finally. She looked around, there was no one sight, not a single soul here to tell her to get back into the cabin or to shoot her in the head for disobeying orders. Rain walked, she could vaguely remember the path her and Elisa had followed to the mansion. And then what? The question crossed her mind. Was she going to walk into the mansion or try to sneak of the goddamn property! Her heart began to pound hard against her ribcage. She could sneak out, she could hide in the shadows until she was out of there. And then what? Then she’d go to an embas
When Rain and Nicholas were younger, their parents spoilt them. Gave them all the love that a child could ever ask for but one thing Rain loved her parents for was the fact that they’d always reminded them that not everyone got the kind of love they did, not everyone got their every needs fulfilled. So as they grew in love they also learned to share that love with others around them.Three weeks after their fifteenth birthday, Nicholas and Rain watched their parents die in front of them. They were on the side walk, taking out the groceries and late birthday gifts when the garbage disposal truck came out of nowhere and crushed their bodies before destroying their car.Nicholas had yelled, screamed his lungs out at that moment but Rain stood there silent, splatters of her parents blood dripped down from her clothes to the floor. They were so close.Just a few steps away. She had just gotten a smile from her father.Next thing she knew, it was over. The said the driver was drunk
