It's been a while since I updated!!
It all started with an explosion. Wait—no, it started when the Queen began having a bad feeling in her gut. Something was happening or going to happen and it would affect her daughter in a way. And so the beautiful Queen made her way to her daughter's room and sighed in relief. The feeling didn't go at seeing her daughter. Rather, it lingered. She decided to carry her daughter in her arms for good measure. Then, and it was only then, that the exploding sound came with a force so high that even the Almighty Queen was shot out of her seat. "Luke, what is the matter?" She asked, staring at her guard. He sighed and then replied, " I think it might've been an attack but the soldiers have it han–" And just as he was about to complete that sentence, another explosive sound punched their ears. The Queen panicked as she looked at her little Princess. "Call me Farah. Now!" The Queen yelled out. Farah was her head maid and closest friend in the palace. L
"Ramona Phillips! " Principal Sudley yelled into the microphone. Ramona stood up from her seat and walked to the stage as a dazzling smile formed on her face. "Congratulations." Principal Sudley said as he shook hands with Ramona. They exchanged smiles and took some pictures. Ramona walked back to her seat and nodded at the congratulations being thrown at her. She had managed to snag the best graduating student of the year and she felt very happy since all her hard work and sleepless nights. After the graduation ceremony, a group of her friends came to her side to congratulate her. "Mona!! You did it!" Jules, her best friend, exclaimed as she pulled her into a hug. Ramona chuckled as she wrapped her arms around Jules. "I know, Jules. I'm so happy. " Ramona said. Her other friends had left and now only the both of them remained. "I'm happy too. Hey, how about we celebrate later tonight?" Jules asked. "Hell yeah! Let's–" Ramona began b
Ramona woke up with a start and looked around the room. Her eyes scanned the room until they landed on the person beside her. She let out a small scream then placed her hand on her mouth. The man beside her turned a bit and his eyes fluttered then he went back to sleep. Ramona let out a sigh of relief as she stood up from the bed. She picked her clothes and had a shower before leaving the room. She st stopped at the door for sometime as she stared at the man on the bed. Then she opened the door and scurried away. On her way out, she saw Jules sprawled on the bed of an open room. "Juliette!" She screamed as she shook her roughly. "Don't call me that ever again!" Jules said, shooting up from the bed. Ramona gasped and her face went red. "You can let go of my hand now." She whispered, painfully. Jules looked at the hand she held tightly and blushed. "Sorry." She apologized. They both ran out of the club and hailed a taxi as they drove to Ramona's p
RAMONA'S POV Contrary to what everyone thought, I didn't abort the pregnancy. After I ran back into the room that day, Aunt Farah marched into the room and forced the truth. At first she was startled and a bit vexed that I lied to her but she later calmed down. Together, we all went through the nine months and then I got my precious gifts. Speaking of my gifts, where are they? It's been 5 years now since then. I now have a boyfriend and 2 kids. "Mom!" Maha and Aiden yelled as they ran into my arms. "Naughty children!" I greeted my tiny twins. I had come to pick them up from school since I was free from work today. Maha stretched her puny arms up for me to pick her up. I chuckled as I grabbed her and steadied her on my hip. I grabbed Aiden's hand as we walked to the car. "How was school?" I asked them. Aiden kept quiet as he kept walking. He was the quiet one out of the two. "Mummy, school was wonderful. We did a lot of things today." Maha replied as she went on to give me an in d
"Are you a thief or a kidnapper?" I asked as I stared at the man. "Or did you just murder someone?" "Plese—let—me—in." He coughed out. I sighed as I glanced at Jules who shrugged. "Come in. I'll get a first aid box. I'm a doctor. I'll help you." I said as I helped him in. Jules moved aside, giving me space to drop him on the chair. "Get the first aid box, Jules. And make sure the dogs stay in the cage." I ordered, untying the makeshift bandage tied around his ribs. The dogs were obviously Maha and Aiden. I cringed seeing the injury on his stomach and I glanced at him. "I don't know how but I think I walked in on some illegal activity. They stabbed me and left me there. This was the first house I saw with the lights on." He explained. I nodded and waited for Jules to bring the first aid box. After cleaning him up and wrapping fresh bandage around his ribs, I asked him if he would like to go to the police tomorrow. "No!" he forced out.
Ramona gasped as she stared at the figure before her. Her hands found the light switch and she put it on. "Where are the rest of my family?" She asked, glaring at Dimitri. He put up his hands in an 'I surrender' way. "They're at the back. Something about grilling." He said, nodding off in the direction. Ramona walked to the backyard and glanced outside. She sighed in relief when she saw all of them standing beside the grill, laughing about something. She turned around and without sparing Dimitri another glance, walked up the stairs to her room. "You really think I'm a criminal?" he asked, following her. "Yes. A serial killer, to be honest." Ramona replied, shrugging. "Please. If I wanted to kill you don't you think I'd have done it since." he asked as he stood beside her bedroom door. Ramona walked to her closet and pulled out a t shirt then answered him. "Well, you could have other plans." "Rape? Please, red. You're definitely
Night time had come. Ramona was in the kitchen trying to prepare dinner. She scoffed and wiped her eyes as she cut some onions. "Hey, red." Dimitri said, coming into the kitchen. He grabbed an apple from the fruit basket and bit into it then groaned. "Fuck, it's plastic." "Serves you right." Ramona muttered. Aiden and Maha ran into the kitchen as they argued abut something. "No, my drawing is better." "No, mine is." "Then let's ask Uncle Dimitri what he thinks." Aiden suggested as he came closer to Dimitri. Ramona raised a brow and turned to face the kids. "Dimitri, who's drawing is better?" Maha asked, shoving her paper into Dimitri's hand. His face scrunched up as he stared at her drawing. "Here's mine." Aiden said. Dimitri stared at bother the papers with apprehension in his eyes. Both Maha and Aiden were glaring at each other. "You sure you want the truth?" he asked, doubtfully. From the tone of his voi
In two different rooms, different events were happening. Secrets were getting revealed and suspicions were being awakened. But there was only one room that was paid close attention to. The strange figure that laid against the door suddenly disappeared immediately it heard footsteps from the other side. Now he was sure. Now he knew what to do. It was a Sunday. Most families go to Church on Sundays but Ramona's didn't. They weren't such a religious family. They preferred doing their own stuff inside. Ramona groaned and rolled on her bed as she tried to force sleep on her. "Ugh!" She screamed into the pillow. Ramona tugged at her hair then sat up against the headboard. All her aunt had told her yesterday was replaying in her head over and over again. Her hands found the crystal shiny pendant around her neck and she rubbed it. "The earring is meant to awaken your powers. The pendant is something passed down from generations. It helps to control and grow your
