Jane Duncan's POV

IT'S HIM!

My hands begin to shake and I placed them in my jean pocket. He was wearing sunglasses but I knew it was him, the guy who almost messed up my one shot at being employed. And what was so shocking about this was that he was my new boss.

WOW, WHAT A MESSED UP WORLD THIS IS!

I insulted my future boss last Friday. I am so dead.

*FLASHBACK*

(Friday 12th May 20XX, 9:08 AM)

I was late and so dead if I missed the interview.

I looked out the window of the bus and was shocked by the number of cars in front of us. Today was the first time I'd encountered traffic like this, especially on a Friday. Why would there be traffic like this on a Friday? I couldn't take it anymore so I got up from my seat and went in front of the bus. People were already getting out of their cars to see what was causing the traffic.

Once I was out of the bus I could see people gathered in front of a building far ahead. It looked like the commotion there was causing the traffic on the side of the road.

I ran to where the people were gathered and was surprised by what I saw. In front of the building, which was actually an apartment complex, was a black sedan which had been crashed into by a taxi.

The owner of the black sedan, a tall man in a dark blue suit wearing a pair of sunglasses, was demanding that the taxi driver pay him for the damage he had caused to his car which I thought was unfair siince it was a small scratch.

"Pay me for the damage or I'm calling the police," the owner of the black sedan yelled beore taking out his phone from his pocket. The taxi driver tried to stop him from making the call. All the people around were  begging the man not to call the cops.

"I just did maintenance on this car recently! Do you know how much money this damage will cost? " the man was shouted at the taxi driver who looked so inferior and defeated. I  couldn't stand there and watch as the owner of the black sedan treated the taxi driver like he was rubbish so I went and stood in front of him.

I didn't know why but whenever I saw poor people being treated like they were nothing got me so pissed off that I was unable to stop myself from speaking my mind or doing something that I would later regret.

That's why I, Jane Duncan, slapped the owner of the black sedan and watched as the man looked at me with disbelief and then finally anger in his eyes.

I spoke before he could utter a word, "Don't you have a tiny bit of shame asking this man here to pay you such an amount when you know he doesn't have that kind of money? Are you that heartless that you can't let go of this when you know that you can pay times three of the money you are asking without even blinking an eye? Why do you have to treat him like this when you know he didn't mean it and that he doesn't have money on him to pay you back? Why do you have to ruin everyone's morning by blocking the road with your car? Let me tell you mister that some people could lose their jobs or not get one at all if you don't stop causing this damn traffic!"

After my long speech, everyone began clapping saying I had done the right thing. The owner of the black sedan glared at me with so much hatred that made me think that he really wanted to kill me. I thought he would talk back or do something to me but he just turned around, entered his car and drove off.
