Episode 2 - The Invisible Girl Part 2

Back in the apartment, 10 minutes had gone by. The girl was a nervous wreck. Her anxiety had forced her brain into tumultuous tangents all leading to the worst possible scenarios.

By this time, her brain had settled on the fact she was probably going to be removed from the chat room permanently on top of getting yelled at. She really enjoyed this chat room. The people were always so lovely.

Her eyes were closed as she clutched her head. She heard that tell tale ding, and her breath caught in her throat. She couldn't force herself to look at it. Maybe if she just ignored it, it would go away. She sat there for a couple of minutes. But there was only the one ding.

She finally managed to drum up enough courage to slowly peak at the screen between her fingers. What she saw left her stunned. After a moment she pulled her hands away from her face. Closed her eyes. Rubbed them, then reopened them and looked at the screen.

There was only a short message on the screen. It read "Hi, please don't take this the wrong way, but it looks like you could use some help"

"He wants to help me? but with what??" she thought out loud, not too sure about how to proceed. Her fingers hovered over the keyboard, till finally she managed to make them move.

"Hello Sir, I am not sure what you can help me with." she replied.

The response that followed was quick "I will help you find love" he replied.

She caught her breath again, he wanted to help her get a boyfriend? she quickly replied herself "Really? you would help me?"

------------------------------------

Back on the beach, He caught himself nodding to the screen, the he replied to her "Yes I will help you. I have seen you in my room for quite a while now. I think you would be perfect for my assistance"

He waited for a small time, but she did not reply. He then messaged her again "You have to say 'I agree' if you want my help"

-------------------------------------

In the apartment, the girl sat there looking at the screen. She didnt know who this man was, only that he ran this room she liked to frequent. Seeing his next message, she mustered up her courage again and replied. "I agree" was all she was able to type.

Another message quickly popped up on her screen "Excellent, Now that you have agreed to my assistance, we can proceed" and that was all he wrote.

She stared at the screen, but did not even see the typing message coming through. While staring at her screen, she felt a warm breeze lick against the back of her neck. She turned around to see if her window was open.

The window was closed. She looked around her apartment and then gasped. A shining white light was growing on the ceiling of her room. From this light, a tall white robed man was slowly descending into her room. A strong warm breeze that smelled of ocean and salt filled her nostrils. He landed on the ground, wearing brown sandals, with brown hair. He kicked his sandals together to remove the sand that was intruding on them under his feet.

He smiled at her with a warm welcoming face. "Hello I am Cupid the god of Love, and I am here to help you find your special person, thank you for agreeing to my assistance"

She stood there with a wide eyed, opened mouthed stare. He chuckled at her and continued "There are some rules to our agreement. You can not tell anyone that I am helping you. If you do, all the blessings of love will be stripped from your soul forever. You can not tell anyone about me and my powers, if you do, the blessing of love will be stripped from your soul forever. Last but not least, you can not refuse my assistance from this point forwards. The hands of fate will not be allowed to change once I have set them on a course."

He looked at her, waiting for her to catch up with what is happening. She simply stood there in shock. He waved a hand in front of her face and muttered "I think I broke her...."

She finally shook her head pulling herself from her stupor "You are cupid? Like the REAL Cupid?" it seems she was still stuck at that point.

He sighed and chuckles again "Yes, I am the real Cupid. And I am here to help you. What is your name?"

She blinked at him before replying "Amy" she said in a whisper.

"Nice to meet you Amy, please sign here" he says and his hand waves, a magical scroll appearing before her with a black ink quill with a large white feather floating next to it. "This is the contract, it is only a formality at this point. But it states I have explained the terms and conditions of my assistance to you." he said to her pointing at the contract.

She looked at the contract, then at him. She was still processing all that was happening. Her heart was wanting love so bad, she didn't care at this point what would happen. She grabbed the quill from the air and signed her name on the contract.

When she was finished with the last pen stroke, the quill disappeared, and the contract rolled itself up, glowed with golden light, and vanished.

"Excellent, now we can proceed" he says and then goes and sits on her bed and pats the spot next to him."Come here so we can get started". She walked over to the bed, and hesitantly sat next to him, her eyes staying low except for the occasional peeking at his face. "So what do I do now?"

He grinned at her mischievously "Well first things first, I need you to kiss me"

"K..k..kkk...kiss you?! But..but I .... kiss ...You?" She stuttered out. It was too sudden, too much. Her mind began to swirl and she became dizzy.
