Chapter 11

I woke up the next morning to the sound of something and looked around the room I was in. My eyes blinked and my vision managed to adjust itself to focus on the surroundings. The place I was currently in was strange to me. It was the biggest room I had ever slept in for as long as I could remember and its furnishings weren't bad at all. As my mind came back to focus, I remembered how and when I had come to this room.

Yesterday evening, after I had my meal in the totally empty dining hall, I managed to locate the Alpha's quarters and found an abandoned storeroom next to it. The storeroom was very dusty and it looked as if it hadn't been used in a very long time. It wasn't empty and all the items in the room had thick coatings of dust on them.

As I looked closer at the items, I discovered that they were items of furniture. A bed and a mattress was there together with a closet and a desk and chair. There was also a dressing table with a very cloudy mirror affixed to it. The room was ver
