Chapter XXIX

Nylian finished signing some papers in his study. It was nearly the afternoon and the mansion was peaceful. It reminded him of the years he spent alone after his sister's death.

“My Lord,” Karlyle bowed to him and walked with him in the corridor. “Would you like your tea now?”

The Duke shook his head, “Later,” he answered. “Is he still sleeping?”

“I guess so,” the butler said. “He has not left his room.”

Nylian sighed and ran his fingers through his white hair. “Tell the cook to prepare him a delicious breakfast, I will bring it to him.”

“Yes my Lord.” the blue-haired Elf left to the kitchen.

The Duke sat on a couch. He crossed his arms and kept sighing.

Jimmy changed since the battle against Adalis. He knew it had nothing to do with the kidnapping or the mistreatment. The King was the only reason for his sorrow.
