Up To No Good

The mischievous and playful seventh prince, Asher ran towards the princes resting area to inform the others of the news he had heard about a young lady caught spying on the third prince, Liam. He could not believe his ears when he heard the news that someone actually had the audacity to go to the third prince's chamber to spy on him despite being aware of the kind of person the third prince was. Even he, did not have the gut to go to the third prince's chamber without his permission. Among his six stepbrothers, he was really scared of the third prince because of his icy demeanor and plus, the third prince had always isolated himself from them making it difficult for them to even have a proper conversation with him but someone dared to spy on him. He could bet that person was probably dead by now, knowing the third prince's temper, he doubt the person would be able to leave the grand castle alive.

"Big news!" Asher shouted the moment he entered the resting area causing the four princes sitted on the sofa to turn to look at him.

"Hey, easy." Hadriel, the sixth prince said as he stood up to pat Asher's back who was still trying to catch his breath.

"Tell us, what news have you heard this time?" Amory, the first prince asked. He knew Asher was here to break the news he heard probably from the maidservants.

"You won't believe this." Asher said still trying to catch his breath.

"What?" Hadriel asked as he was eager to know what Asher had heard.

"A young lady was caught spying on the third prince." He finally broke the news to them.

Logan, the second prince snorted after hearing the news Asher had broken to them. "What? Someone was caught spying on Liam?" His lips curled to a smirk.

Asher nodded his head answering his question.

"Who is she?" Helios, the fourth prince who looked less surprised than the others asked.

"Er. . . I did not ask about her identity." The moment his maidservants had broken the news to Him, he forgot to ask about her identity as all he was thinking was to rush here and break the unbelievable news to them.

Hadriel clicked his tongue as he let out a disappointed sigh. "You should have asked. I knew it, i knew you were going to give an incomplete news. Where is Gavin? He is the only one who can tell us the identity of the young lady caught spying on the third prince."

Asher twisted his face at what Hadriel had just said, at least he told them the news they were not aware of.

"Speak of the devil, Gavin is here already." Amory said as Gavin entered the resting area with a handfan.

"Were you talking about me?" Gavin, the fifth prince stopped as he looked at them.

"Have you heard of the news about a young lady caught spying on Liam?" Asher asked.

"Yes." Gavin replied shortly as he smiled and began fanning himself with the handfan.

"Who is she?" Hadriel was the one to ask this time.

"I heard that she is the oldest daughter of the Roy's family but i don't know her." Gavin replied.

"Audree?" Helios furrowed his brows as he could not believe his ears.

"Do you know her?" Logan asked, looking at Helios.

The other princes also shifted their gaze to him, waiting for his reply.

"Not really." Helios answered then turned to face Gavin. "Was it really Audree?" He asked to be sure if he was not mistaken.

"If she is the Roy's oldest daughter then yes, it was her." Gavin answered.

Helios shook his head in debelief. "That can not be true." He knew Audree, she was not the type of person to do such. They could probably be mistaken, Audree would never do such a thing.

"Why do you say that?" Hadriel could not help but ask because Helios had spoken as though he knew the Roy's oldest daughter personally.

"She is a gentle and well-behaved lady that is why i find it difficult to believe that she was caught spying at the third prince." Helios explained.

"I pity the poor lady, Liam would definitely punish her." Asher said then he suddenly gasped as though he just remembered something. "Ah, i also heard he wielded a sword at her, we all know what happened to those people he wielded a sword at in the past." Asher shook his head in pity for the young lady who had just lost her life today.

"Poor lady, if she had spied on me instead she wouldn't have lost her life." Gavin commented as he clicked his tongue.

"Why are you two speaking as if she is dead already?" Amory asked. Even though, he had also heard rumours about the third prince, he doubted Liam would kill her.

"He wielded a sword at her that means she is literally dead." Asher answered.

"Don't jump into conclusion." Amory said as he paused for a while before he continued. "Why don't we all check if she is dead or not?" He suggested.

Logan sighed lazily. "Whatever happens to her is none of my business."

"I'll go with you." Helios stood up from his seat and followed Amory. Gavin, Hadriel and Asher also followed them leaving only Logan in the resting area.

Logan let out a loud sigh as he watched them leave. "Why do they even care if she dies or not? Why don't everyone mind their business?" He let out a deep groan as he sluggishly got up from his seat and left the place.

Gavin placed his hands on Hadriel and Asher's shoulder. "I am curious, how did Helios know about the Roy's oldest daughter when i don't?" He was really curious to know how Helios knew about Audree when he didn't. He had thought he knew most of the women in the Kingdom but it seems like he was wrong.

*********

Back To The Consultation Chamber.

When the princess finished her statement, May's mouth slightly opened as she could not believe what she had just from this young lady. She was in the kingdom of the great what? How did she get here? How? Why? Then it began to make sense, the ancient dressing, the sword, the chamber, the guards in armour, the tall buildings, it all made sense now. She was. . . . She was in an ancient Kingdom. This was unbelievable, how. . . Just how on earth did she get here?

Princess Ingrid turned to face the King. "My King, i strongly suggest the Roy's oldest daughter to be flogged hundred strokes as it was written as the punishment for anyone who disrespect the royal family." She said.

"My King, have mercy on my daughter." Sir Roy immediately bowed, pleading for mercy.

Princess Ingrid frowned as she glared at Sir Roy then she faced the King. "My King, grant me the permission to carry out the punishment."

May pursed her lips into thin line. She had not even dealt with the fact that she was mysteriously transported here and this young lady wanted her to be flogged hundred strokes? She should as well just take a sword and kill her instead. She then looked at the young man who had not said a word since she entered this room. Was he mute or something? She let out a loud sigh and said. "What's going on here? Is this a drama or what?"

"Did you hear that? She feel no remorse for her action that is the more reason why she needs to be punished that way she would know that disrespecting the royal family is a grave crime." The Princess added as she glared at May.

"Grave crime." The third prince sneered causing everyone to shift their gaze at him. "I seriously do not understand why you are so worked up on this issue as though you were the one she spied on and for your information, you have no right to punish her." His deep voice echoed in the chamber.

"W. . What?" Ingrid stuttered as she clenched her fists. "She should. . . ."

"She should be flogged hundred strokes? There will be no punishment as such." The third prince cut her off, walking towards May.

May smiled when she heard what the prince had just said then she looked at the Princess' angry face, her smile widened even more as she clicked her tongue loudly at the Princess provoking her even more. She then arched a brow when the third prince stopped a step away from her but the moment she saw his lips curled to a devilish smirk, her smile immediately faded as she knew he was up to no good.

"However, she won't go unpunished." He continued. "She will work as my personal maidservant for seven days, that is my punishment for her." Her eyes widened as she watched him smile at her devilishly. Why does it feel like she had just walked into a trap?
