Chapter 17

A flash of light blinded my vision which was soon followed by the sound of thunder echoing through the sky. Normally, I would be afraid of thunderstorms but Andrew sat right beside me so I felt safe. The wind blew here and there creating tiny splatters on the window pane. The leaves of trees rustled everywhere, twigs flying in the air. There was a really bad storm coming our way. Although it wasn't raining, the rain was inevitable. I could sense its dusty scent from a mile away. The darkness that clothed the sky didn't help the situation. Even the moon refused to shine and the stars lay dormant.

''Sky? You awake?'' Andrew spoke out.

''Yeah...''

''There is something you need to know''

I was drowning in my own thoughts when the door which had been shut for almost an hour creaked open. In walked a very distressed looking Jane, with mom and Derrick toppling hastenly behind.

''Andrew?, Sky?....we have something very important to discuss with you'' Mom spoke.

''Andrew, please take a seat
