I closed the door behind me, before I turned, I prayed, begged that when I did turn Isaiah would return to his normal state. His blazing blue eyes would pierce into mine once again and his arms would encompass my waist and make me feel at home. Make me feel safe. I turned. Nothing. I have never really been the lucky one.
