Azazel
It isn’t until the next evening that Zoe and I meet with Mathias and Creighton. After coming back from the hell dimension, Zoe and I took a shower and fell into a deep sleep. We were both too emotionally exhausted to even turn off the lights.
Hand in hand, we both marched quietly to the Cal State library. I don't waste time greeting anyone at that point. “Did either of you find any information on the amulet?” I ask as I lead Zoe inside the room.
Creighton nods and gestures towards his table. “Yes, in fact, we did, and it's good news.” Zoe and I give each other hopeful looks as we approach the table. Just then, Amara and Kell show up. Zoe's face lights up with delight.
“Amara!” Zoe cries out with relief. Both women embrace, excited to see each other. “Zoe, I'm so glad to see you. I was so scared of leaving you inside that horrible place.” Amara cries out with regret.

ZoeI blink my eyes and look around groggily. The sound of my ringing phone woke me up from my dreamless sleep. Azazel sits up with an annoyed grunt. “What the bloody hell?” He growls out in irritation. I watch as he rises from the bed, completely naked, and reaches for my phone with a scowl. My throat constricts at the amazing sight of his tight ass, ridged back and firm thighs. His golden body is perfect. He looks like a Greek statue. His tattoo wings stand out in contrast to his honey skin and golden hair. He’s magnificent, and he’s all mine.Covering my nakedness with the sheet, I sit up from the bed with a scowl. “Who is it?” I mutter firmly when he grimaces at the screen. He turns to me with a cocky smile. “I believe it’s your mother.”I furrow my brow in confusion. “That’s not possible. My mom never calls me.” Azazel shrugs and hands me the phone. “Then you better
Azazel Ding dong, the witch, is dead. I can believe Marael is finally dead. After Zoe had recited the spell, we were transported back to my flat; Lana and Lucifer showed up as soon as we appeared. “What the bloody hell did you do in hell today? The whole bloody place was falling apart.” Lana rolls her eyes and pushes him teasingly in the arm. “Oh, quit being such a drama queen, Lucifer. The whole place didn’t fall apart; only the mountain Sahara took us to did. And I say good riddance to that place.” Zoe wraps her arms around Lana with a soft cry. “She had my mom! Marael had my mom, and now that she&rsquo
Chapter 33: The beginningEpilogueZoe “I hate lying to Lana,” I mutter in Azazel’s ear as we make our way up to our apartment after an entertaining night out with our friends. Azazel and I threw a party at Garden of Eden commemorating our new living arrangements and my mating mark. It’s been weeks since we defeated Marael and Sahara and escaped hell. Once everything was settled, I moved into Azazel’s flat. Azazel also gave Bree and Lana an apartment a few floors down from ours─rent free. As soon as I was reassured that my mom and everyone else was fine, we spoke to Mathias. Mathias was a little peeved that we gave the amulet away but relieved to know that Marael and Sahara were dead. I
Chapter 1: Anywhere but hereZoe “So you’re leaving again?” My mother asks with a tightening of her lips. I nod my head as I continue to pack my bag and ignore her aura of disapproval. “You know that this was only temporary until I found another job, mom. School starts again soon, and I want to make sure that I’m settled before I start classes. Sahara is letting me and Bree rent an apartment while I work at her bar. So I’ll be fine.” At first, it looks like she’s not going to respond, but then she relaxes her stance and asks with a controlled voice. “Are you sure that’s what you want, Zoe? Sahara is not the nicest person in the world.” I snort at her comment—understatement of the year. Sahara is the biggest bitch in the
Azazel- Months later I blink my eyes and roll to my back when the abrupt flash of sunlight hits my face. “What the bloody hell!” I say, rising from my bed with a growl. Mathias is standing over me with a confident smirk as he holds a large Styrofoam cup in front of my face. “Rise and shine, demon. We have work to do.” I give him a deadly scowl and take the cup out of his hand with a killing glare. “Someone better be dying for you to have woken me up this bloody early, you git.” Mathias rolls his eyes and aims his mobile screen at my face. “It’s ten in the morning, Azazel. Now get your ass up, or I’m going to have to resort to drastic measures.” Taking a deep breath, I throw my covers off and stumble up from the bed. “You could have giv
Zoe I didn’t sleep at all last night. With work and school, I feel like I’ve been stretched thin. I did have a few weird dreams of a gorgeous man with leather wings. One of them was so real. I dreamt that I was a slave girl in a Roman home. The master of the house decided to take a trip to a gladiator fight, and the lady of the house took us along to serve them while they watched the bloody battles. I was serving the master wine when I saw him. He was one of the most good-looking men I’ve ever seen. He had golden hair and amber eyes. I remember watching him walk out to the gladiator ring. He never saw me, but I saw him. I watched him skillfully fight his opponent without caring for his own life. He looked so lonely afterward. I wanted to run to him and give him solace, but that was not possible.
Azazel It’s nearly five in the morning when I get to my temporary home. Thankfully it’s only a mile away from the club. My thoughts return to the beautiful girl. I had never been so entranced by a girl. Unfortunately, Charlie’s cousin, Jill, chose that moment to show up. Not wanting to blow my cover, I quickly diverted her attention. The downside of the whole situation is that the girl disappeared. She must think I’m an asrsehole now. I don’t know how I feel about the fact that she and Sahara are familiar with each other. For all I know, she works for Sahara. However, with the way Sahara treated her, I imagine it was not a friendly working relationship. I wanted to rip Sahara’s throat when she spoke to the girl—Zoe, in that tone. What surprised me more was seeing the other
Zoe I hate school. Did I happen to mention that? I mean, I’m good at it. But I can’t wait for it to be over. Right now, I’m running down the hallway trying to make it to my music class because I woke up late. I blame Azazel for this. If it weren't for his sexy, gorgeous, smoldering looks, I’d have gotten a good night’s sleep and woken up in a better mood. I know that it’s unfair to blame him, considering I barely spoke to him. I just don’t care. I spent most of the night thinking about his gorgeous smile and deep husky voice. It’s infuriating. And when I did finally go to sleep, I dreamt about him. I just can’t escape him. It also didn’t help that Bree woke up screaming at the top of her lungs in the middle of the night. Bree, Ailana—Lana for short,
