CHAPTER 11

JAELA

I felt the wind rush past me as I dodged the round house kick that flew over my head, countering his kick I swept his legs from under him. The platform shook as his body collided against the canvas.

He grunted as he landed. Being taught to be ruthless against my opponents, my attack became faster and harder making every blow count.

The door of the gym slammed shut pulling my attention to it.

I knew it was a mistake when my body left the ground, the wall cracked upon impact of my body banging against it. As I slid to the floor I coughed, spitting blood onto the Mat.

Before I had a chance to block, his fist came fast striking me in the jaw.

Blood spattered everywhere, my vision blurred, tears threatened to fall. The sheer force of his punch felt like a sledgehammer to my skull.

“What did I tell you?” his deep voice bounced off the walls as his fist connected on my face again.

I was barely holding on to consciousness, he grabbed me by the arm throwing me across the floor.
