Chapter XXIX

"THE mind and ways of God are different from the thoughts and acts of man. As we follow Him closely, we discover that we have to 'lose to gain', 'surrender to win', 'die to live', 'give to receive', 'serve to reign', 'scatter to reap'. In weakness, we are made strong. In humility, we are made lifted up. And in emptiness, we are made full. Trust in His ways and you will never be lost."

Napangiti ako nang marinig iyon paglabas ng banyo. Sigurado akong bukas ang TV at do'n nagmumula 'yon. I wore my black sando, black leather pants and black combat shoes. I put the gun inside my belt bag. Tinuyo at sinuklay ko ang buhok saka lumabas.

"Faith in God is still the best armor." Nadatnan ko si Plum sa harap ng TV at pinagdikit ang dalawang palad. "Amen!"

"Baka lumagpas ka sa langit niyan," biro ko.

Natatawa niya akong nilingon. "Kumain ka muna bago umalis."

Naupo ako sa harap ng dining table, tahimik na nag-antanda at taimtim na nagdasal sa Panginoon.
