Chapter five

She‘s back

Therisa‘s Point of View

I walk out off the plane carrying my luggage, I wear my sunglasses when the sunray hits my eyes. “Mommy!” she exclaimed. I look at my daughter, her cute smile made me less nervous.

“Tori, you‘ll stay with your lola for a while okay? Please behave and don‘t give her a headache. I know you‘re a good girl,” I said as I caress her hair.

She smiled more and nodded cutely while carrying her mini back pack and teddy bear. “yes mommy, I won‘t,” she promised.

Luckily there‘s no traffic and we arrive earlier than I expected. I paid the taxi driver and carry our luggages and knocked the door.

“Therisa! You‘re early, and oh! Tori, my grand daughter,” my Mom greeted and hugged Tori.

“Good Morning Mom, kumusta ka na? ” I asked

“Morning lola! Wow, your house is so big!” Tori complimented.

Mom helped me carry our luggage and called the maids. Mom called us to eat our breakfast, Tori and I went to the dining immediately. Our stomachs is already rumbling out of hunger. The plates are placed neatly on the table, we dig in and eat our breakfast peacefully.

“Alam mo na kung saan ka pupunta,” she said, then she gave me a serious look.

She‘s scary sometimes. “Yes Mom,” I replied without looking at her.

I look at the wall clock to check the time, eleven o‘clock. He could be out of his company anytime by now. I look at my reflection in the mirror. When I am contented I walk out of the house and start the engine of my car.

I arrived at he restaurant early, I take a seat and waited for him to arrive.

It took me so much courage and years to show myself to him again. I heard he‘s getting married. For sure he will leave the girl for my daughter.

Shuhn‘s Point of View

I turned off my laptop and asked my secretary for my other appointments and meetings, “Sir, you have a meeting with Ms. Valderama,” she replied

Valderama? I‘ve never heard that surname.

“Where‘s the meeting place?” I continued

“At the restaurant in front of your company Sir,” she added

I nodded to my secretary, cueing that she may leave. She smiled and left the restaurant. I turned to the woman in front of me, she‘s wearing sunglasses.

“Good noon Ms.Valderama, can you take off your sunglasses for formalities?” I asked politely.

She smirked and took off her sunglasses. As soon as I see her face, it made my blood boil. Why is she here. Worst is, why did she set up a fake meeting to meet me. What for? My hand forms into a fist, nag titimpi lang ako dahil babae siya.

“Long time no see Shuhn,” usal niya at ngumiti.

I didn‘t say a word, mas lalo lang akong nagagalit. I stand up from my seat. I was about to walk away from the restaurant when she suddenly hold my hand stopping me.

“Let go of my hand, before I run out of patience,” I warned, and give her a threatening look.

My eyes darkened when she hug me behind my back. We‘re inside a restaurant for pete‘s sake! I hold to her wrist tightly causing her to flinch and let go of me

“I have a wife Therisa!” I shouted.

I closed my eyes tightly to gather up all of my remaining patience for this woman. Pero ni isa wala nang natira.

“Please, let‘s talk,” she pleaded with a crying voice.

I looked at her, a tear roll down on her cheek and she immediately wipe it with the back of her hand.

“Kung ano man ang sasabihin mo, sabihin mo na. I don‘t like to see your face ever again. Even seeing you breathe disgusts me,” I demanded, sinadya ko na mas laliman ang aking boses para mas matakot siya.

She cleared her throat and took a deep breath, tinitigan niya ako diretso sa mata. I look at her boredly, I don‘t care of what she'll say. I have Rhiedly in my life, Therisa is just a piece of trash in my past.

“Why are you so harsh to me? Don‘t you miss me?” she stammered.

“Hell no,” I answered. I looked at my watch, its almost twelve noon. I didn‘t eaten lunch yet.

She sniffed and opened the zipper of her bag. She slid it towards me.

“Ano na naman ‘yan? I don‘t have time for your lies," I accused.

“Open it,” she replied

“I don‘t want to, you know what? You‘re just wasting my time, I don‘t even know why I'm still talking to you,” I said angrily.

“Cancel your wedding with her and marry me instead,” aniya

“Hanga ako sa kapal ng mukha mo. Pagkatapos mo akong iwan ay bigla ka nalang magpa-pakita and you expect me to comeback to you?” I yelled.

I shook my head and stand up from my seat, I turned my back to her. Before I could go out to the restaurant her words stopped me.

“Shuhn, we have a daughter,” she whispered and cried.
