Cameron’s face was set in a deep frown as he fiddled with the paper in his hand. He had lost count of the number of times he had stared at it all weekend, terrified the words on it would change the moment he looked away. His hair was messy like he had run his fingers through it repeatedly. He caught a glimpse of her from his monitor as she walked in, and he immediately rang her up. Every minute he had to wait for her felt like long agonizing hours.
