Brian's POV
Sia smiled at me as she stood in the hallway. She was mine now. I was excited, ecstatic and I couldn't believe I had finally found her. My mate. It was all worth it. I was glad I had stood my ground and not given in to the pressure from my parents to choose Natasha as my mate. I could never be happy with her. She repulsed me, I could not even bear her sight and my parents were constantly badgering me to choose her as my mate for three years. No more. The deed was done now and I had chosen my mate. They had to accept her. I knew that my father would be furious, but it could wait. The rest of the world could wait. It was just us now, just Sia my mate, and me. My wolf wanted to meet her wolf.
"Wait for it, take it slow," I told him. He was too eager to see my mate's wolf. But she was delicate and she had only been able to open her mind link to me today after the mate selection. I was not sure if she was ready to turn into a wolf yet, when she was ready I am
Sia's POV We lay next to each other. Totally spent from the long night. I feel the blood rushing inside my body with renewed excitement. Never even in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that I would be in a relationship. Now I have Brian and I am his mate. This is so much more than just being his girlfriend, so much more than being his wife. I am his mate for life and nothing can separate us except death. I run my fingers across his chest. His chest is moving up and down with every breath he takes. He looks so handsome when he is sleeping, so peaceful, like a baby. His mop of black hair spread all around his head. It was a long night and too many things had happened> Of course he needed the rest, God knows I need to rest too but I woke up after what seemed like a short nap. It is still dark outside. There are so many things that I want to ask Brian and so many fears running through my mind right now. Has he done the right thing by choosing me as his mate?
Sia’s POV I pick up the plate at the cafeteria and hesitate as I join the long queue towards the area where the food is served. I can already imagine the lady rolling her eyes at me. I am not an easy person to love, but the amount of hatred that she has towards me seems absurd. As if my fate has not already done enough to put me in trouble. It is my turn now and I hold out my plate. She puts a small helping of spaghetti onto my plate without any meatballs. A small spoon of vegetables and the tiniest piece of bread in the basket. This is the only meal of my day and I wouldn’t have come if my stomach wasn’t threatening to eat me from inside. I look at her pleadingly. She rolls her eyes and places a box of milk and another helping of pasta this time with meatballs. I smile widely at her and mouth a thank you.
Brian Bennet’s POV My head is throbbing as I try to drown out my mother’s voice but it is not easy. Not just because she is a part witch but because her voice is that powerful and she is also a Luna, the infamous Kiara Bennet. My father the alpha Alexander Bennet sits beside her agreeing to what she is saying. I was rolling my eyes inside my head. I tried to find reasons to get out of the conversation. I couldn’t even get up from the table until all of us had finished dinner. It was another one of the rules that my mother made us follow that no one gets up from the table until all of us finish dinner. My father and mother used meal times to bring up important conversations so that I could not try and slither away with an excuse before they could hear the answer that they wanted. “She is such a lovely girl Brian. Take her to the dance tomorrow at least. I am not asking you to get married to her tomorrow” said my mother placing her palm on my hand which was on th
Sia’s POV I keep running even though I can’t see where I am going. I stop after a while to catch my breath and take in my surroundings. Shit! Looks like I have run away from the town. I am surrounded by thick trees all around and there is not a vehicle to be seen on the road. The road looks deserted and the tall pine trees lining the road cast an eerie look. I try not to spook myself. Am I hearing voices behind the tress? Do I see eyes behind the trees staring at me? I shake the feeling off and keep walking. My stomach is rumbling louder than ever and I become increasingly aware of the angry complaints of my stomach. It was at times like these that made me realize how rotten my fate was and how much I missed my parents. Why did I have to be so unfortunate that I couldn’t even manage a job? I wanted t
Brian Bennet's POV I shifted to my human form and ran up to her. I could see that she had a cut on her forehead which was bleeding profusely. I tried to wipe the cut with the sleeves of her dress and the cut was deep sprouting more blood. I licked her wound without thinking. My Alpha saliva would help in healing the wound. The blood flow slowed down but did not stop completely. I tried putting pressure on the wound but since the forehead is such a delicate area and the skin was slippery with blood, it only made it worse. When I put pressure on her forehead it again increased the flow of blood. Damn It! “Jack, help me” I yelled at him, who stood frozen in his wolf form refusing to shift. “Brian. Why the hell d
Brian Bennet's POV We stop in our tracks. This is not good. I try to mind link back to our Silver Cresent pack perimeter guards asking for help. These pisachs are known to be ruthless and since they are born out of dark magic, it is considered very bad to be bitten by them. Many werewolves prefer to die rather than survive as a wolf pisach hybrid. “Well, well, well what do we have here. I was hoping for a delicious meal of this tasty human and I am rewarded with two playmates too. Looks like we are going to have a lot of fun” the pisach drawls with a glint in his eyes. Jack shifts back to human form “Get away from us. We don’t want any trouble. Go look for a meal elsewhere” The pisach chu
Brian Bennet’s POV I looked at Jack wanting to apologize for the trouble I had gotten him into. He just nodded at me and patted my shoulder. No words were necessary. Jeremy shook his head and pursed his looks when he looked at the both of us. His face exuded his disapproval. I cast my eyes downwards waiting for my parents to arrive. The girl who was the source of all this trouble was still unconscious, unaware of all the trouble she was going to cause at my pack. It was forbidden to bring a human to the pack ground. It was generally preferred that werewolves fraternize with our own kind. One was to hide the existence of werewolves from humankind and another because humans were weaker and their senses were dull. They had absolutely no sense of direction. They could not smell something unless the scent was extremely strong and their eyesight was a joke. Even if a werewolf took a human as a mat
Brian Bennet’s POV Turned her into a werewolf? What was dad saying? Would she just turn into a werewolf if I give her my blood? Holy shit I had no idea about it. “Dad…I mean Alpha. I didn’t turn her into a werewolf. I was just trying to save her life” I blabbered. “Don’t you know that an Alpha’s blood or saliva can’t be just given to anybody? You don’t have to bite someone to turn them. You were not supposed to mess with human lives. You are supposed to stay away from them Brian or have you forgotten whatever you have been taught” I flinched as his Alpha aura hit me with all his might. Jack had warned me about this, m
