34|The Wrong Idea

Fortunately, I'd cleaned the front and inside of the house. I didn't have to be embarrassed about having guests so early. Ah, noon. It was almost noon. To my relief, I washed my face and brushed my teeth while chatting with Jasmine.

I opened the door. It wasn't one, but two handsome men who came to see me. If Jasmine knew this, she would be even more jealous of me.

“He forced me to come here to bring you lunch,” Brad stated.

Russell showed off his neat white teeth as he held up a large bag with the label of my favorite restaurant. “I don't know if your family is home, but this is enough food for us.”

I opened the door wider. “You should have called first.”

“I wanted to surprise you,” Russell remarked. He looked at the inside of the house. “Is there no one home but you?”

“My parents are away on vacation. Come on, let's go to the dining room.” I closed the door and led them to the back of the house.

“Then we came at the right time,” Russell hummed.
